No Jim Crow: Pizza Parties, Political Parties, Polls, and Water in Georgia

Updated: Jan 21, 2022

Joe Biden has been calling SB 202, the law in Georgia designed to secure elections from fraud, Jim Crow. The example he gives in speeches is that people are not allowed to have food and water at the polls. That is not true, and it has nothing to do with SB 202. In Georgia, polling places can have food and drinks, and voters can bring food and drinks to the polls. Third parties can't bring food and drinks. It was never legal for third parties to give gifts at the polls in Georgia, but they made the exception for food and drinks even though there was never an exception in the law. Georgia ended the exception in the 2020 elections before SB 202 was ever written. This is because Democratic candidates and organizations abused this exception by throwing pizza parties at the polls. This had became a common practice in Georgia called "line warming." Here’s an example of a Democratic candidate throwing a pizza party at the polls to influence voters. It seems that for years, Democrats also have been throwing pizza parties at polls in other swing states like Ohio. So, the crackdown in Georgia online warming was a response to Democratic election fraud and began before SB 202 was ever written. When Democrats make an accusation to make their opponents look evil, always research.
